Salem High School ALS Field Hockey Awareness Game: September 19th

Salem Field Hockey and the Class of 2028 are coming together to host our first-ever ALS Awareness Game on Saturday, September 19 at 10:30 AM at Grant Field, and we would love to see our community there! 🏑

This event began with one of our juniors, Dylan Linehan, Class of 2028 President, who came to us with the idea of hosting an ALS Awareness Game after her grandmother, Michele Edwards, was diagnosed with ALS.

Michele was a Salem High School graduate and longtime Salem resident, and she could often be found on the sidelines supporting Dylan at the many activities she was involved in. Sadly, Michele recently passed away, making this day even more meaningful to Dylan, her family, and all of us involved.

We hope to make September 19 a special day that not only honors Michele’s memory, but also brings our community together to raise awareness and support the fight against ALS. 💙

🎟️ Raffles featuring 30+ gift cards donated by local businesses & more!

🍿 Concession stand will be open!

💙 80% of all proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association

❤️ 20% will support the Class of 2028

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to all of the local businesses and sponsors who have already helped make this event possible. The support we have received from our community has been incredible!

Please come cheer on the Blue Devils, grab something from concessions, enter some raffles, and most importantly, help us fill Grant Field for a morning dedicated to Michele and the fight against ALS. 💙
